Alibag, sometimes known as Alibaug, is a seaside town in western India, located just south of Mumbai. Alibag Beach, Kashid Beach, and Varsoli Beach are some of the most well-known beaches in the area. The 17th-century Kolaba Fort, located just offshore, features carvings of tigers and elephants, as well as shrines dedicated to Hindu gods. Korlai Fort, erected by the Portuguese in 1521 and featuring a lighthouse, is located to the south. Janjira’s island fort boasts lofty walls, turrets, and cannons.

1. Alibaug Beach

2. Varsoli Beach

It is a popular tourist attraction that is gifted with many natural views with magnificent white sandy beach and the unmistakable sea of joy to see. The beach is fitted for giving the most surprising perspectives of nature and is located roughly 3km from the major Alibaug Bus Depot.

3. Kashid Beach

From this vantage point, the vista is simply breathtaking. The guests are enchanted by the coconut and Casuarina trees, which wave in the breeze. 4. Nagaon Beach

This beach is one of the most popular Alibaug tourist destinations because it is suitable for both relaxing and adventurous activities. You can come here to relax and unwind in the evenings or participate in exhilarating water sports. The beach stretches over 3 kilometres and is a fantastic place to watch the sunset.

As you walk along this beach in the evening, enjoy the spectacular sunset with its orange tint. Alibag is located 7 kilometres from the coastline. Satad Beach is another name for this location. This is one of Alibaug’s greatest tourist attractions for an unforgettable experience.

5. Kihim Beach

If you’re looking for a nice area to visit in Alibaug around dusk with a pleasant breeze and want to do some photography, then Kihim Beach is the place to go. The pristine clear water and lush vegetation up and down the shore make the shoreline one of the most beautiful in the world.

The beach is also known for its magnificent white sand, which is littered with a variety of different sorts and colours of seashells. The surrounds are lush with trees and wildflowers, attracting a variety of migratory and resident species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise.

6. Aksi Beach

The quiet and peaceful Akshi Beach is where you should go on your Alibaug trip if you’re looking for the most serene tourist attractions in Alibaug. This spectacular beach is primarily a fisherman’s town, sandwiched between Nagaon Beach and Alibag Beach. It’s the ideal spot for a relaxing stroll along the fine sands as the calm surf crash against the vacant beaches lined with palm and coconut palms. Boating and swimming are two of the most popular water sports in Alibaug. Because of the variety of birds that visit, you may also go birdwatching. It’s also one of India’s cleanest beaches! Clearly, this beach is one of Alibaug’s best attractions.

7. Mandwa

Mandwa is a beautiful beach that attracts a large number of visitors. The beach is free of pollutants and crowds. The stunning sunset view from the beach is truly breathtaking. A cathedral, Buddhist caves, a synagogue, a temple, and various Portuguese remnants can all be found here.

Mandwa Beach is a water sports enthusiast’s dream location; in fact, it claims to be the top water sports hub in the Mumbai-Pune region. Jet skiing, kayaking, banana tube rides, water scooters, and other water sports activities are available.

To get to the beach, regular ferries run from the Gateway of India to the Mandwa jetty.

8. Murud Beach

Murud Beach is a lengthy stretch of black sand with brilliant azure waves that stretches over 1.75 kilometres along the shore. Murud Beach is a lovely site with stretches of beach surrounded on three sides by hills.

The sunset vista is breathtaking, and the nearby island forts of Janjira and Padmadurgad add to the beach’s beauty. The beach is blessed with a constant moderate and calming breeze, which allows guests to rest while tanning. Watersports are available at the beach, and there are various boat cruises available in the area. This draws a large number of tourists and water sport enthusiasts to the beach.

9. Korlai Beach

Korlai Beach is one of Mumbai’s best-kept secrets. The major beach is located in the little fisher community of Korlai, which is just a short distance from the town of Alibaug. During the rainy season, this beach is full of green-yellow weeds, pink oxalis flowers, and grassy meadows, in contrast to the regular sand beaches of Maharashtra. However, without the velvet cover, the beach becomes deserted and rocky during the hot summers and harsh winters. The beach is primarily used for commerce and commercial purposes because the community is populated by fishermen.

10. Saswane Beach

Saswane Beach is a lesser-known beach on the stretch of coastline between Awas and Alibaug. The beach is bordered by a fancy residential area with a few bungalows and apartments. The Mumbai skyline is mesmerising, especially with a grove of coconut trees in the distance. Due to its convenient location and encouragement of water activities, it attracts visitors from both Pune and Mumbai (except during monsoon). The breathtakingly beautiful beach also includes a sculpture gallery and offers breathtaking sunset views.
