Mumbai-based travel and lifestyle influencer Aanvi Kamdar tragically lost her life on Tuesday after falling into a 300-foot gorge while recording a video near the Kumbhe waterfall in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. The 27-year-old chartered accountant, known for her vibrant personality and passion for exploring new destinations, was on a monsoon outing with friends when the accident occurred.

Kamdar, a resident of Mumbai’s Mulund area, had amassed a significant following on social media, where she shared her travel experiences, lifestyle tips, and restaurant recommendations. Her content resonated with many, who admired her zest for life and her ability to capture the beauty of the places she visited.

She and her seven friends were visiting the waterfall on July 16 when the event happened, according to the police, at around 10 a.m. While she took pictures and videos of the area, she secretly entered the valley. Both the Mangaon police and rescue crews arrived at the scene after her friends alerted the local authorities.

She died during the treatment, according to Raigad Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge. Following her fall into the gorge, she was still alive. As we got closer, it became clear that she was still breathing. After being saved, she was taken right away to the hospital. At first, it seemed like she had vanished.
